Lime Stain on Paint
How do I remove this stain?? Bug and Tar Remover does not work. I parked in a parking garage and it was dripping from above. It seems impossible to remove....what can I use to get it off??

Lime is a real problem as any high-alkaline contaminant is. I work around a lot of overhead construction work where concrete gets everywhere. Concrete/Lime are the same; the high pH (12-13) eats everything. I see your car is a metallic which means it's probably clear-coated. I've heard that a cotton ball with 100% vinegar left on the spot for 10 minutes can help on non-cleared paint. This is followed by a mild scratch remover or fine compounding. You might try it on a non-critical spot to see if it hurts the clearcoat. My gut feeling is the damage is to the clearcoat. This will effect how the metallic base looks and might require a spot spray repair with clearcoat. Is the damage a loss of sheen or does it look cloudy? If it's cloudy, the clear has to be repaired because it has penetrated all the way to the base coat. Do not use anythng more caustic than vinegar like CLR or other Lime-Away products, they are way too strong.
