It is easier to get a new job when you already have one. I would suggest that you wait to quit till you have something else lined up.

As a former Ricer and GTI owner, I have just one thing to say about the entire VW Mark 4 series:
German engineering at it's worst!

VW owners tend to be fanatical so ANYTHING you say will be wasted breath.

Arent 924/944s technically part VW's? Wouldn't that make us partial fanatics?

Just say something like "Hey whats that, the wrong wheels are doing all the work". Then challenge him to a twisties run. I also like that assclown comment.

Sort of goes along with one fight I had in highschool... One of the big name "tough ****s" in the school made the mistake of pissing the quiet guy (me) off. I handed him his *** in front of at least 150 people. Then he tried again after school... Insult to injury I beat him up again, and tore his shirt and silver chain off him. That was on a thursday. Friday was a day off. He didnt show up monday or tuesday due to the twin shiners he was still sporting. No one messed with me for the next two years, that kid hardly spoke to me again, when he did it was with the utmost respect with some fear thrown in. EVERYONE knew who I was after that. See kids, mom was wrong. Pound the right persons face at the right moment, no one will fu*k with you again.

It will be the same thing with your 924 vs his GTi I bet

Perfect, although I would add the words "No talent" in front of that.........

AND- he has to make a payment everymonth- You can spend that 400 monthly on upgrades he now can't afford.

It's still a VW no matter HOW many parts he upgrades it with, and yours will always be a Porsche. Duh.

"No Talent Assclown with Porsche Envy" Would make a nice bumper sticker for his car..

I've got an 87 n/a and as you know they still turn heads and generate a lot of positive comments. After all, it's a Porsche. So I had been getting some nice remarks from people I work with, except for the one guy who tells me what colour I should paint it, what wheels and tires I should have etc.etc. Well this guy must have got tired of people talking about my car, cuz he went out and bought a new M3. Now he compares his car to mine, speed, resale, options etc etc. Anyway, I told him that I was going to try get get my car spiffed up a bit with the $53,000 I saved.

Driving a VW Rabbit diesel is a humbling experience. I highly recommend it. It was my first car. I once told another Rabbit owner that I needed to make a reservation to get on the highway. He said not only did he need to make a reservation, he had to RSVP.

That doesn't sound fanatical, does it? We're not all THAT bad.

The kid at McDonalds this morning thought I must be rich to have a Porsche. I told him that these cars aren't that expensive. He said " How much was that? $45 or 50K?" I about died laughing.

Ok, Yeah, that's a great one....

Every now and then I get people asking if I'm going to put spinners on the Porsche, or tint the windows....I usually reply that I'd put a bullet in my head before spinners on a Porsche....

Maybe I'll make a card that says "no talent ***-clown with Porsche envy" and tape it over his temporary tags. Make him feel good about it. Then, I'll run him up the local canyon sittin shotgun and make him sh*t himself. But, I'll make him sit on a plastic bag.

It is true how most people don't know how well the 924/944 series handles... Hell, after I bought my 924S, the PO, who was one of my good friends went up the local canyon with me. I even scared him! he was afraid to take a 25 mph turn at about 50.... but canyon driving in these cars is addicting...I was late for work one day cuz I went about 50 miles up a canyon about an hour before I was supposed to be there...showed up half an hour late with a huge grin on my face...my manager asked where I was. Laughed when I told him I ended up at Mount Evans....
