Default 15 x 7/8 Fuchs questions

Hi all, new guy here. I tried the search but after page 7, I decided to post. I've got a couple questions about Fuchs wheels as I am looking to fit them to my VW. I'm wanting to put some 15 x 7 and 15 x 8 Fuchs wheels onto my car. Do they make these in the late (53mm) offset? With 25mm adapters from H&R, they would be able to fit under my fenders with an effective offset of 28mm. I know they make them in 16 x 7 and 16 x 8 but would prefer to put 15's on my car, mainly due to cost. Any help is appreciated.

Fuchs wheels are only available in early offset.

I've heard of using 6" Fuchs, cutting off the rear portion of the rim and attaching another, effectively creating a late offset Fuch wheel, but that would be very expensive.

I thought the 87 Turbos had Fuchs in 16". I must have been mistaken. Thanks.

There is a company out there taking the Fuch's centers, removing the rims and converting them into 3 pc. wheels for late offset. IIRC they are about 1100 each- and YOU send your early offset Fuchs wheels to them- your choice of rim width.

Yes, Vurginia. you can have late offset Fuchs. if you have a spare 5 grand laying around for the conversion

Yeah, I saw their site and figured it was gonna be spendy. Follow-up question...were there any 15" wheels offered in the late offset? Or, which 16" wheels were offered? I don't want to do Design 90's or 7-slot 928 wheels as they have been done quite a bit on VW's. I like them, I'm just looking for something new. Thanks for all your help wheel guys.

OK, I thought maybe you had a bug of some sort. Lots of options there, but I haven't seen too many for watercooled cars. I did a quick search and found a guy in the UK with hubs you could maybe use
brand new front and rear hubs (un-drilled) - these hubs will fit mk1-mk4 golfs (different spline`s). these will be un-drilled and can therefore be machined to fit any wheels on a vw. (they can be supplied drilled if required) iro porsche 5x130, audi 5x112, bmw 5x120 etc etc therefore they will fit straight on without using any form of adaptors. the hubs will be built to group a spec by a company that manufactures formula 1 parts.

The only 15" wheels I can think of are late offset phone dials. They are also available in 16"

Another thought would be to use Audi Fuchs wheels. They look similar and you could use late model Passat hubs and brakes. 5x112 bolt pattern.
