Default Just got car back from clutch, now only blows hot air

I just picked up the car after having the clutch replaced. On the way home I noticed the fan ifor the cabin will only blow hot air. Really hot air. The AC doesn't seem to make a difference. I am wondering what the hell is going on.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Eric

heater control valve may have gotten screwed up, it is at the rear of the engine in the middle, try moving it from side to side to see if this helps to solve the problem, or i could be totally wrong because it is a late car, but this is the only thing they should have gotten close to when doing the clutch job, did you have them relocate this by any chance?

I didnt have them do anything with the heating system. I'll put the car on jacks and check it when it cools down some more.

Just talked to the mechainic-he said it was probably the heater control valve, and if i could take a look for any loose vacuum lines. If I dont see any, not to take stuff apart and to bring the car in anytime for him to mess fix it.

Even if the vacuum line is on the heater valve, make sure the arm on it isn't obstructed. It needs to be able to move.

Total cost was 1712. I ordered the clutch kit from zimms , that was $641. 9 hours @65/hr, and the car needed around 400 for parts like a clutch fork and some other stuff in there.

It is the heater controll valve vacuum line. One part is in the heater valve, the other end is just hanging there. Anyone have a pic of where the other end goes? I am gonna go look around some more in there.

Why'd it need a clutch fork? Those aren't too commonly replaced, and IIRC it cost me about $300 to buy a new one.

One side was overly worn, so it didnt apply even pressure. Yup, it did cost around $300 for a new one.

Aha!!!! The list prevails. With a minimal ammount of skill, a vacuum hose diagram, and some longass pliers, the vacuum line is back in place.

Thanks a ton everyone.

I would, but the problem is, it's my dad's car. I am 16. He has seen the movie 'Risky Business'....many times.....He has banned me from the car untill he gets back from a mini vacation.
