Default Tires for 924S

I am looking at getting new tires. How off would my speedo be if I had 205/55 R15 on the 924S.

Try something like this: http://www.powerdog.com/tiresize.cgi

205/60 15 Diameter: 24.7''
(EDITED) 195/65 15 Diamter: 25'' Factory size...

I think there is some general rule of thumb that says you can be off by +/- 0.5'' before you notice any changes in your speedometer reading. I have 205's on my 924S right now and i don't notice any error in the speedo. The wider 205's look better(IMHO) on the narrow 6'' phone dials...

Good Luck!
Erich

Erich,

195/65 15 is the stock size, not 195/60. That calculates out to 25"

I run 205/60 15 in the winter (24.7") and 205/55 16 front, 225/50 16 rear in the summer (24.9"). 205/55 16 was an optional size for the 924S by the way.

The speedos on our cars typical read too fast in my experience. Changing to a skateboard wheel sized tire is going to make it read that much faster.

By the way Erich, did you get my message the other day? Somebody is trying to get in touch with you about driving lights.

Zounds!!! $100.00 each new? I might need you to hook me up, especially if they have the wiring, connector and boot. One of the lights I have has a dull reflector and they both are missing the plug/boot/wire lead.
