I never said that was my car-I was just talking about it. Raj has my car, he's putting a zero mile tranny with LSD into it for me. Do you live on the road from Long Valley to Oldwick? I saw a 968 parked in front of a house.

Damian,
Do you think it is possible that I saw your car on I295 this afternoon?

Hey Chris-

Is that Will D? If it is, he's a great 944 guy, but he blew me off twice, missing appointments and forcing me to pick up my car with nothing done. So I stopped using him. Way too busy in the summer (which is when I drive the car and need work done)!

Yeah as a matter of fact it is. I used to use him as well on my old car but now i take this one to power-tech. He is always busy with racing and what not, not always reliable....

Win, that was my car, with Raj driving. Cantal, that makes sense, his shop is not far, right?

Damian- Looks like you're turning your car into a serious machine! How is the short-shift kit? How much to have it installed, etc?

And, how is Raj's car compared to yours??

Andy, the short shift kit is great. I think my guy charged $150?? to put it in-it's pretty involved to do so. With LSD I'll have a little more grip, and I'm going to the dyno shop tomorrow to have a 'before' run as a baseline so I can see if the 100 cell cat and exhaust from Cargraphic do anything other than change the noise and lighten the car. That's coming in the next few weeks.

If I decide to do the turbo conversion then I can always sell the cat and exhaust.

Turbo conversion? Get out! Too much, I think. Just enjoy the NA 968 feel. Once you start doing turbo conversions (like Raj), you will have way too much into the car! At least I think so. Keep the engine stock!

So how short are the shifts now? Worth the $$? How much for the kit, and did you get a new shift boot and shift **** as well?

We had a group buy from 944racing for the kit, around $100 IIRC. The boot and **** stay stock. I think the throws are reduced 30% or so.

I was at Powerhaus in Arizona last week talking about the conversion, I would like 350hp . . . getting the car dynoed tomorrow in Englishtown as a baseline for other mods.

Can the drivetrain handle 350 hp?? I just think it would kill your minty fresh car.

That short shift kit sounds cool. Does it have any negative FX on the tranny, etc?
