It's very easy to disable the airbag and the ! light. I've posted this before but here it is:
1. Disconnect battery and wait 30 minutes for airbag system to discharge. (very important)
2. Remove torx screws on the backside of the steering wheel.
3. Remove wiring connector to airbag.
4. Disconnect the 2 wiring connectors on passenger airbag. You'll have to remove the glovebox to get at them.
5. Locate orange airbag control box behind glove box and disconnect round plug to control box and jumper pins 3 & 4 on the car side of the harness. Leave the connector unplugged.
That's it.

As for a group buy: Their retail price is $331 and the Rennlist price is $245. That's a pretty significant savings. Do you think they'd go any lower? For a reference mark, Pelican wants $329.

Michelle,
If memory serves me right, I bought mine from Pelican last December for $225 for the wheel alone, after seeing an ad in Panorama. The adapter hub was another 50 bucks or so. 30 smackers for the crest, which I epoxied on.
I am generally pleased with the wheel, although the new hub splines don't seat quite as deep as the factory wheel, so sometimes the turn signals don't always cancel, 'cuz the hub tab hoober doesn't always contact the turn signal gizzie ( obvious, once you look at it).
Also, the splines aren't quite aligned like the factory wheel, so the wheel does not sit quite "straight" when the tires are straight. I've been wondering if I can swap out the splines between my factory wheel and the the new one, but it's pretty low on my priority list...

Tifo, the wheel I got from Pelican was actually marked from FVD, which is another Porsche parts and tuning supplier http://www.fvd-web.com/fvd-usa/index-usa.html
The wheel is called "Formel", under "Interiors", and the "Steering Wheels". The interesting thing is that they sell just the horn pad for the wheels, which I thought I was gonna have to buy when I wuz mounting the crest...
For what it's worth...
