Yes, when working properly, the arms will re-engage when you start moving. I'n 3 years, I've had to relatch the arms myself zero times.

But it seems there are a fair number of sensors that need to be working correctly and they seem prone to failure. It's not the greatest implementation of a sunroof that I've ever seen but the end results are pretty nice.

My roof will unlock with the motor running.
I can not count the times I have been 80mph with that damn thing flapping.
