Default Who else got scammed?

I was wondering how many others got scammed on the "Turbo Front Bumper" conversion by "Yourfriend411" recently.I know he(she?) was also selling Saratoga sunroofs and lambo door conversions also and even had a sting website set up as the supplier. The ebay resolution department was pathetic and sets an easy platform for this type of fraud to occur. Some you scammees have contacted me but there has to be others.Lets unite and catch this schmuck!

Default Rear ended on the front end!

The guy(gal?) strung me out for a month and then was executed from ebay as seller.Never delivered and took my money.I know he got Granite944 also.I had my car(83 944 na) in shop with the front end off(rest of the car freshly painted) for over a month.Had to repaint and put old front valance on.This person really sucks and if I could find location I would drive,(fly ,walk, whatever) there and do bodily harm.

well.. ebay isn't all that secure as far as "personal information" and you could do that but unfortunately.. even as a seller you can register fake addresses and such

Yeah.....the slime ball got me too. Gut feeling was real bad in the begining, but I went for it anyway. Anyone remember when I posted, asking about that website, ultra944.com? Well, that was part of the scam. I know lots of people bought stuff in his auctions, and figure he must of raked in at least $5K before he got the boot. Just a well known reminder.......if it sounds to good to be true.......it IS.

Just another thing you all should know if you do get scammed on ebay. File for the ebay buyer protection program, and make sure you file a complaint with ebay and with the other internet fraud divisions given via ebay's linkage. Thats the only way, that there is a flying chance in **** the scammer might be gone after, by the authorities. If you just let it go, NOTHING can or will happen. We'll never hear anything about the investigation of this scammer from ebay........for all sorts of reasons.

Yeah, I bit, I'm stupid sometimes, but I also should know better.

Ebay has its faults, but it still is a great resource......you just gotta be a little careful, smart about how things work there, and have a consience. I still like Ebay.

I'm not pleased with this situation either, but, report it to all the proper sources, and let it go.......just another nasty learning lesson.

Anyone down south of Houston Texas, want to go break some legs? J/K

eBay has been real bad lately. I never purchase anything from anybody on eBay before I first check to see if they have 10+ transactions from other people who have purchased from them. Second get an address from them then look it up on www.switchboard.com to see if its in their database and call the number listed if you feel a scam might be coming. Thirdly never wire transfer any money to anybodys bank account or western union. Fourth I like to use www.escrow.com for large transactions (over 1k) but most of the time when I ask the seller if www.escrow.com is ok on a "to go to be true" deal and offer to pay fees, they normally say "no" thats when I walk away. Sorry to hear that people are getting ripped off on rennlist, we work hard for our money and its something about these scam artists that really rubs me the wrong away.
I'm really big into home audio gear specifically B&W speakers and two days ago I put a bid on a set of B&W 803 speakers for $3.2k, I lost the auction by $500 bux at the last minute, anywayas after the auction ends I get an email from this **** head in Italy saying he has the same speakers that just went for $3.7k on ebay and is willing to sell them to me for $1.5k. This is an obvious case of a scam, I normally email them back and say Ok its a deal and tell them i just setup a escrow.com transaction and all im waiting for is for them to confirm it, I never hear from them again after that!! Good Luck with the case and nail this SOB for us!!

Default Aliases!

Yeah,he(she) is (not) "Yourfriend411",also allisa5000@yahoo,also Aime@aol.com,also saul cinsenaros.I email threats and vulgarities to all of those sites at least once a day just to make myself feel better. They probably have a big laugh(at all of our expense). The sad thing is I really wanted that bumper(had already acquired the turbo fogs and turn signals). The jackass even sent me 2 different tracking numbers(which were legit numbers)but nothing was ever shipped. He was working real hard at screwing all of us.He(at one time)must have delivered on some of his auctions because his rating wasn't that bad when I made my purchase.
