Default I DID IT! and i LIKED it.

ok, dont get on my back just yet. This morning Erin and i took a quick three hour trip up to waterville to check out Aaron's two cars that were prospects to be traded for the xsboost machine. Well, i will let the photos speak for them selves. The new xsboosters are a shiney 87 924s five speed, in very good shape besides a few minor things here and there, and a 76 914 2.0 five speed that took some getting used to but finally won me over. They both need some of my special attention but should turn out to be fun in the long run. Lets just say both will have some fender flares in the future.

I can't believe you actually did it. I'm gonna miss that 944 of yours.
How does Erin like her new car?

she liked the 924, she even admitted to liking the 914 after seeing it in person!

oh, anyone know where i can get a 24s fuel line, high pressure side that goes from near the brake booster to the fuel rail, it has a nasty bubble in it. I also need some rear pads and a starter for a 914.

Erin said last night that she wanted you to make the deal. I know she wasn't crazy about the 914 but she knew it would make you happy.
That's a good girl you have there.

Andy raves about the Pauerman fuel lines. They're pricey, but they're the best. Rennbay and SFR also sell s/s braided lines. I'd try Paragon for the 914 stuff.

Damn, my old cars look nice in those pictures. If I wasn't completely in love with the way your old one drives, I'd want them back.

Take good care of my babies. I know I'll do the same for yours.

Looks great Dan, that 914 is really gonna make one hell of an autox pax monster...
I am gonna be in Cincy this week for a few days, I'll call you about maybe stopping by to check out the new rides.

XS Boost you made a great trade! That 924S is sharp and you will enjoy that 914! BTW, thinking of doing any engine swaps later on? Maybe a 3.2 with Weber 40's to make that car more of a monster?

Welcome to another dimension in Porsche ownership. The care and feeding of your two new adoptees will keep you on your heels-and-toes!

Good Luck,

As I watched Dan and Erin drive off in the 944 when they left my house Sunday morning, I felt that was the last time I would see the 944.

Both of those cars look nice!

Dan, check your email, I found some 914-6 flares for you.

Looks like I stand a chance at winning "I-2 class" at the local autocrosses again! MUHAHAHAHAH.

( unless Dan finds a way to stick the 914 in my class somehow )

His car is not "gone". It's just moved to a new home. She'll be plenty spoiled here, I just have to think of a name now that Dan has Lorelei (the 914) and Elizabeth (the 924S).

I never could justify joining Rennlist when the 'teener was my obsession car since the 914 forum here is so slow, but I think now I'm going to have to join.
