Congratulations, David! That is one fine car you are obtaining. I hope that the pickup at the dealer today went well, and I hope you will share some pictures with us.

I think that car will be too much of a hassle for you. You should give it to me and spare yourself the headache. I offer this because I care.
Yeah... "care"... that's it...

Now some first day of ownership comments. I drove down to Charleston SC with my trailer to bring back the Seal Grey GT3. I was not disappointed with the fantastic color and option package this car came with. The car is solid, these doors truly thump when closed. The full interior leather package is beautiful, and while I know this is against the principle for this car, I already have a track car, so a few quality upgrades are well worth it, especially since many have said the car looks cheap with the standard dash.
Driving impressions---- Unfortunately, today was rainy. I only got to drive the car for about 15 minutes near the dealership in the dry, in busy traffic, before trailering it back to Charlotte, where it was very rainy for my one hour drive around. First of all, the engine is completely intoxicating. Between the progress increase in torque with added RPMS, combined with an awesome exhaust note, combined with an engine valvetrain song that brings a huge smile to your face followed by a laugh and a "wow!!" The road feel is telepathic. The driving position perfect. Heal and toe operation--a breeze. Throttle response instant and quick to retreat. Traction -- unbelievable!! I was able to floor the car up to 6500 rpm in first gear in the rain with no loss of traction. I completely expected to break loose the tires considering the incredible acceleration I was experiencing. The handling is tight, perfectly firm for me, which means you feel everything, but no banging--excellent dampers. Visibility--great. What can I say--this is the best car I have ever driven--
More to follow with a comparison to my 951.
