high mile(sort of) 968...help me decide value
Hey guys/gals
I found a '94 968 tip...cool green/blue( not sure of color name) with tan partial leather. Exterior=perfect ...interior= dirty. 125k miles...dont now yet about the obligitory belts/rollers/water pump.
Throw me some ballpark figures...( last year i sold my '93 968 with 73k for $15k) ...so i am thinking cheap....$6/8k...?????
Help

Honestly, to me, 125K does not sound to be "high mileage".
I see your location (Cincy); Is the car located in our area? If so, my W.A.G. would be somewhere in the 10K to 12K dollar range. +/- $1K depending on the condition/maintanence.

I'm betting the color is Amazon Green BTW...
I think tifo is right with 10 - 12k, you are not dealing with motors that need rebuilds every 100k miles, these things when maintained will run for much longer than that.

Having bought two 968s this summer, and having sifted through many asking prices, I would say that an average asking price such a car would be around $14,000. I imagine the seller would then take around $12,000, depending on the wiggle room. Of course, there are so many variables, and maybe you could walk away with the car for $10,000. I think a big factor will be whether or not the owner is a Porsche guy and knows what he has. I could drone on about the possibilities, but it is time to get back to work. As you find out more, let us know. Good luck!

Some current prices for you
For comparative purposes, I did a scan of Autotrader to see what the current asking prices are for the 968 Cabs. Enjoy.
