Default 60 seconds of unsteady fireing on startup

I have purchased a "race engine" from a builder, and it seems to work fine except for the first 60 seconds of idle from a cold start, it works fine when hot. Any ideas on what this could be? Ohh yeah it is a NA motor, if that helps. Thanks.

Cheers,

Butler

Sounds like you're losing all fuel pressure when the engine is turned off. Use a pressure gauge & see what happens after you turn the engine off. I don't have access to the specs, but even after 24 hours you should have over 20 psi in the fuel rail.

Butler,

A friendly suggestion...leave some details of your vehicle (e.g., early or late 944 model, moded or stock, etc) in your signature.

This makes it easier for folks to help ya.
