Default Magnecor wire set, where to buy? Past threads seem to be gone.

There were some very excellent threads recently on the whole spark plug wire thing. People were talking about making their own with magnecor generic wire and beru ends. Also, someone posted a link to a set of magnecores in the $55 region. I tried searching for an hour, but apparently those threads have vanished. Maybe in the update? Anyways, can someone please post an inexpensive place to order some wires? I may also be interested in looking at the generic option, depending on how my ends are. As I recall someone had done it in the low $30 region? Thanks a bunch!! My wires arc in literally about 5 places, need to change asap.

I have bought a set of KV85's for the 84' right from Magnecor for ~ $65 two years ago, and I recently bought a custom set of R-100's from Magnecor direct for $125.

Yeah I dont get it. While searching, some people have linked right to magnecor. I looked around but apparently if they used to sell them directly, they dont anymore. So apex the place then? Thanks!

Go to www.kingsborne.com and e-mail them about a set of the wires only for your Beru ends. About $30 to $30.

I just emailed Magnecor the custom length and GMC 90deg distributor end info and they responded promptly with payment options. This was a month ago. Thing is they do not have a secure online store so you will need to email, fax, etc, your CC# to them, but you can buy direct. They will help you out and hopefully provide enough options for you in regards to payment and it's security. It took them 2 days to make the wire and I received it 2 days after that. Hope this helps.

Jacobs Electronics wires are very good quality and maybe more accessible if you wanted to get a set of them...they are blue though.

I just recently bought a set of red 7mm wires from kingsborne. Just the wires to fit in my Beru ends......$25.00. Hard to beat that with wet noodle!

Heck of a deal! Beats the $150 for a new set. The only trouble I've had with the Beru wires is the ends on a couple of the connectors at the dist were so corroded that I had to replace the connectors. Would NOT unscrew!

The same 16 gauge stranded wire is in the middle of the 7mm OD insulation as the 8, 9 10 and 11 mm OD insulation. Get the 7mm as the rubber weather boots on the connectors don't like to be stretched.
