Dan G,
You say you listed only wheels that bolt straight up to our cars without the need for spacers. I have a set of the 17" Boxter twists but if I bolt them straight on it looks like, to quote someone else, "a cat sitting on a can of tuna" the wheels, especially the front ones sit way to far inside the gaurds. Whats up with that??

I should have specified, cars with late offset wheels. 87+ cars had 52mm offset, earlier cars had ~28mm offset (*I think*).

RacerX made a great site about wheel spacers...

So 87+ cars can use most of those wheels (except maybe the 12 inch wide ones!) without spacers, while it looks like 86- cars need a 21mm spacer up front and a 28mm spacer in back.

Ok, I'm dragging this back up to the top to try and get some new pictures for the guide. If you have a good shot of some wheels that I don't post it up (and tell me if they're replicas or what size/brand of aftermarket wheels).

These are Ronal ACT's (made in Germany) 17 x 8.5 and 9.5.
I bought them used, I don't think they are available anymore.

Not a good pic by any means, car is covered in crap from the trees, but you get an idea of how the boxster wheels look on our cars. Although I think they look good, I would really like to trade for some 17" c2 (cup 1) wheels.

Dan,

Thanks for bringing this back up, I had lost track of it. It really is fun for me, to see my car used as a reference.

Thanks,

Winslow, your car is the DEFINITION of what I think a 951 should look like. You rock.

I'll take a gift of a set of your lightweights anytime. Thanks.

I had seen this mentioned a few months ago, http://www.tsw.com/ offers aftermarket wheels that are made to order. You can get lug and offset patterns to request on a lot of their wheels.

NOW the question, I have looked at racerx's link and at DanG's link and the offset is left off?

I have an '83 with cookies? Anyone have a link to help me down the golden/alloy path?

Edit:

Figured it out. '83 cookies are 15x7 with 23mm offset. Rears added a 23mm spacer which means 46mm.. Look at how easy that was.. LOL

Why did they have to throw the conversion from metric to english in there wigh the wheel sizes?
