I can see it now...a few 944s roll up, some rennlisters slowly stepping out of the cars with bats...
Anyway, wow. I had no idea this kind of thing was this common. I almost get hit all the time. But I know eventually I'm not going to be able to swerve or move out of the way quickly like usual.

I'd be there for sure. A nice good old-fashioned ***-beating in the news once in a while might make people think twice about pulling that kind of crap. I do carry a Louisville Slugger in the car for just such occasions, should the need ever arise. . .

It's a real problem around here in SoCal - a lot more common than people think. There are a lot of "illegales" here that don't carry insurance, so if they hit you, they run (or try to). I know there's probably a lot going through one's mind during and after an accident, but I think it's great that you had the presence of mind to get the plate # / car description. Hopefully it'll work out and they'll nail the guy. Keep us posted!

i had a similar instance while in college. I parked my newly painted mustang on the street, and after class i came out to find a little red honda pressed up against my rear bumper, and my paint laying on the ground. After alot of cussing and such i left.

a month or two later, i was driving my beater, wouldnt you know it, i found an open spot on the street, right in front of the same red honda. Lets just say i didnt ease it into the parking spot, i think he needed some front end work after that day.

Yea well he better hope I just don't find him or his car in a parking lot Anyways it's all good didn't cause too much like the last hit and run. Like his insurance would have went up a whole lot if they paid out that is if he had insurance.
