Hello again. This might be a stupid question but how do you get the roof off. I have followed the directions in the manual of raising the rear of the roof and unlatching the two clips, but the roof won't come off. I have pushed from inside and pulled from outside, but can't get it off. What am I doing wrong?

on mine i just (assuming you dont have power roof) just undo the 4 clips and the strap left the back up a good 6 inches then pull it off

Did you have the ignition key in the first position? Do that, press the "up" arrow and the arms should retract down.

This is also assuming you have a late (>85.5) 944.

Do you have a power(electrically operated) sunroof or manual sunroof?

Power roofs

Series 1 -

Put the key in the ignition. Push the sunroof button. You should here the rear stays retract. Unlatch at the front and lift out.

Series II - Same, except turn the ignition key to the first detent.
