I will be replacing the rear main seal as well as getting the flywheel resurfaced towards the end of the week. Hopefully I will have my transmission back from the shop by friday afternoon and will be able to put everything back together and get the car back out on the road monday.

The job took a long time, but a large part of that was figuring things out because the directions in the factory manuals don't ever give you quite the full story. Now that I've had it apart and know all the little tricks it would go FAR faster the next time. My guess would be that you could get it all dissasembled in a day if you knew what you were doing.

Beautiful ride - I love those rims; I'm probably going to get the similarly styled Kinesis ones. IMO they look fabulous on these cars. Nice job!

Matt H,

Yes, it is a Spec II clutch. It has the kevlar disc. The kit included pressure plate, disc, throwout bearing, and alignment shaft. I also replaced all the plate bolts and flywheel bolts, guide tube, needle bearings in the fork, pilot bearing, and rear main seal. While I was at it I also replaced the clutch master and slave cylinders and the rubber hose between them.

The clutch needs to be broken in for about 500 miles before I really get on it. Right now, it chatters in first and reverse a little but I was assured that would eventually go away. I'll let you know more next week after I get some miles on it.

Please do, you are not the first person to say that and I would love to know if it goes away before I try one next year.
