I've been looking for over a year now and I haven't found a thing!

I found an 89 locally, but the seller is delaying for some reason even though I offered him a couple hundred more than orginally.

Tommorow I'm going to check out a 951 that nickhance told me about so we'll see how that goes.

edge, ive seen the pics and its a great color combo and everything just too far for me.

honestly if you haven't found a thing and have been looking for over a year...you haven't been looking. There are all kinds of turbo's on ebay and autotrader.com. I recomend autotrader.com.....no limit on miles and pull up about 30 turbo's and start going through them. It's not hard trust me. I have bought three 944's.....there aren't hard to find if you are willing to go and get them. I got my current 951 in virgina...it's everything I wanted and more. It took two weeks to find on autotrader.com

John, ya I understand, but the only problem with doing deals from a distance is always time. You have to have time on your side to go through the proper procedures like PPI, and having someone to take a look at the car for you, etc.. but when you deal with a person locally its always a quick deal. You take a look at the car, drive it, offer the guy, he takes it or doesn't.

But, I'm taking a look at a car today so we'll see how well that goes.

I personally would never ever ever ever ever purchase a car until I could see it with my own two eyes and drive it. I dont care if you are Jesus of the Rennlist doing a favor for me and eyeballing the car for me in Qatar.

I know a lot of people get a field guy to eyeball it, get it inspected, ten fly out to take delivery. At the very least I hope they are not paying before they arrive and retain the right to refuse the car on arrival. But there are some on here who bought cars in far away places sight unseen except for photos and a PPI. Wouldnt be for me, which, like the guy above, does limit the geography you can look for cars. I would never have time either to fry a whole weekend going out to TimBukToo to get a car, then driving it back cross country. My free time is prob. worth more than that. Theres no right or wrong way on this, just depends on lifestyle and comfort level.
