Default Rear Noise/Problem

I was driving my car all day fine when all of a sudden I started getting a thump.. thump, thump going into a turn. This lasted threw the turn and stopped once I reached above 15-20 MPH, it also continued every time the car would come to a complete stop then start up again till the 15-20 MPH. The Thumping is coming from the rear and the engine and trans shift fine and the car drives fine also except for the noise. I drive in a very pot hole heavy area and think it may have damaged something, can some one please give me there expert knowledge on what this might be?

Let me guess the thump is from the passenger side?!

CV joints/wheel bearing is your answer. Dal

sounds like a bad/worn cv joint. try repacking them and installing so they run in the opposite direction. If you have to replace them, the half-shafts will cost you about $200 apiece.

Paragon has rebuild kits for about 77.00 each

Paragon CV Joint Rebuild Kit

I need to do mine. One thing I will be sure to do is saftey wire those bolts. Too many stories of them backing out. Already had one of mine just finger tight..... It will require drilling the bolts, but it is a LOT easier than doing CV joints on the side of the road...
