Exclamation M456 discovery on 944

After doing a little bit of option decoding, I discovered that my car is equipped with sport shock absorbers. Since these shocks are old, I"m thinking of replacing them. I am wondering, are these strut inserts on the car or will I have to take the old hack saw chisel or whatever to replace the strut insert?

'86 NA uses rebuildable struts with the screw-on cap. No hacksaw necessary. See Paragon tech site for details.
