944 turbo's are great cars...fast...handle well...cheap to buy. 8-10k should get a nice clean driver. The cars has timing chains, not belts, from what I recall. I sold mine with 120k miles and got more than I paid for it, 2 years after I bought it. The 944 turbo is FASTER than the same year 911 turbo...0-60 in 6.0 or so....

Buy one, you will like it. Check out rennlist.org for all of the info you could possibly want....

HAHAHA man is that guy confused!!

I have had the pleasure of owning two cavallinos (not at the same time!) and can tell you this. Money by no means makes a car valuable; sounds strange but perhaps it's understandable. Make no mistake, I am not saying that Ferraris are overrated as I am a huge tifoso; I even have the tatoo....

What I am trying to muddle through here is this. Porsches are inexpensive. They're not cheap. Inexpensive. Not the same thing. I find it wonderful that such a wonderful piece can be enjoyed for such a relatively small amount of money. That is just another perk to Porsche.

Just my two cents...

Just to jump on my soap box and perhaps this is inappropriate but I'd like to have a little chat with "Arizona guy" and his disrespect for the office of the President whether it's Bush or not.

I hope he's enjoying his right of expression...OK, I'm done. Thanks.

Yes, I feel better!

Hi everyone, I am the dude who started the thread on Fchat. I am also a Ferrari owner and have wanted a 951 or 951 S for a decade now. A 951 will make a perfect, fun and hopefully a reliable daily driver for me. The cars that I am finding, are selling SO damn fast. I have found 2 Turbo S cars, and they have sold before I could get the car for a PPI!!

It's pretty easy to mod the 951. You could get an earlier turbo and mod it to the same (or better) performance levels.
