Default 968 OEM Rear Wing For Sale - Fits 944

I have begun to list for sale items on ebay that I am selling from my Porsche 968 as it undergoes turbo conversion. The first item I have listed is my excellent condition Porsche 968 upper center rear wing.

See

Click here for information on other parts for sale that I have not listed yet on ebay. Parts include very good condition OEM 968 wheels with near new and professionally balanced tires, and Rear OEM 968 brake calipers with pads. Email me if interested.

I love them too

Several of us on 968.net have converted our NA 968 to turbo. There are different philosophies. Easy to query 968.net on the topic.

Jason Lee at Heritage Motorcar Research in Largo FL is doing the work for me.

968 turbo was an original option - not many of them made though. In fact, I don't know that ANY were imported to the US. Someone more familiar might chime in here. . .

They're supposed to be blisteringly (is that a word) fast!

This is when Raj (aka 968TurboS) normally chimes in his great knowledge. To answer the above question i believe something like 20 factory 968 Turbo S' were produced and sold in europe, i know of one factory one that made it into the US as a race car. Also 4 968 Turbo RS race cars were made one of which is owned by Jason at Paragon, not sure about the other three.

These are very very nice cars! Raj is the expert on these cars around here...
Hope that helps!
Erich

I think a big reason that the factory killed the 968 Turbo was that with very little modification (turn up the boost) they would blow away the 911 Turbos.

944 Turbos would do that too, at least the early 90's 911 turbos. Funny enough after a certain magazine article was published in 1989 the 944 turbo stopped showing up here.

There were 14 968 Turbo S's built, 4 968 Turbo RS's built. Jason from Paragon products (lister and Site Sponsor) owns one of these 4.

There's a wealth of information on the net about these machines, which in my opinon are the holy grail of front-engined watercoolers (I know I know 944 GTP et al are VERY nice, the 968 TS and TRS are my personal fave's)

Click here for a thread dealing with installation of a 968 wing on a 944.

I understand that the window trim parts and lower wing are available for about $250.
