Default Considering selling the Porsche computer case - thoughts?

Wellll I figured out that money is good to have people. I'm wondering, how much do you think I can get for the ol' Porsche computer case? Electric car conversion costs leave me with a constant feeling of want eminating from my wallet!

Thanks for your thoughts lads,
-Jeff

Thanks guys!

Yea, I made it myself. I just sorta had a dream about a Porsche case, picked up parts via Ebay, and went for it. Authentic Porsche front emblem on the door. The "Porsche" text is from a 1959 356 B! This case has class!

Im intereseted in doing something similiar. Though i will be using a different base case. The goal is to layer the "guards red" as much as i can and then do as many clear coats asa i can to get depth. Maybe use the same 356 script you used, or possibly just the crest... don't know yet, but your is definatle an inspiration!

That Antec case is worth about $80, and the labor invloved with the theme may put you up to $180. $200 or more if you find the right buyer. This doesn't include components, thou with the market the way it is, don't expect much. Best idea is to sell it to a fellow lister or donate it to rennlist as reward for a new member to sign up, or a raffle. Ask John D.

I have done some Corvette custom cases, and even painted one with granite paint so "It would blend with the surroundings". The best I did IMHO was a pearl white lacquer- body filler to take out the factory wrinkle on the case, 9 layers of paint.. it was breathtaking. Unfortunately the owner wanted a watercooled AMD in it.

There may be a market- but it would be a very narrow scope. I realistically dont see any more than a few possible buyers.

Good Luck!

Is your problem with watercooling or AMD, or both?

Just the AMD part. I'm sold on the reliability of Intel chips. I sold a LOT of AMD and replaced about 35% of them.

I LOVE WATERCOOLED!!!!!!

Chris,
Woah, that's the first time I've heard of Intel chips being reliable. Through all of my experiences, my AMDs have been far more reliable than my Intels; haven't had to replace an AMD cpu yet, and I don't want to know how many Intels I've gone through. It's interesting that we've had opposite results...

As for the case, I'd buy it, but I don't really need it, sorry.

Thanks for your kind words - I'll just hope for a buyer!

Air cooled AMDer here. Got my 2100+ clocking at 3000+ benchmarks with a 5 dollar heatsink and a 21 CFM fan. Never had a problem with AMD myself.
