Well,
While the rest of you were drinking away your sorrows in Ohio, a few of the truly hardcore owners out there were braving the heat and humidity of Monroe, LA in what can only be described as a labor of love. Pictures to illustrate:
Stephen "$hitbox" Magown
Dustin "Lexol" Thurston and Micah "OE" Jones (in yellow)
Matt "Electrical Fire" Ritenour
Leaving Columbus AFB
On the Road.
Les and I brought our Bissel Little Green steamer - and the interiors ended up looking fantastic. The biggest job was a "Magown" clutch installed on Julian's 87 NA. The iceshark kit was a bit of a job as well... Perhaps Matt can elaborate more. The 85.5 received all new cooling hoses, new cap and rotor, new heater valve, new DME realay, VW blue coolant, an oil change, new intake boot, new FPR, and a few other ins and outs
One quick note about Stephen Magown. It has not been a very nice place for Matt and I down here in Columbus. We came from the "land of milk and honey" with regard to 944s in Indiana and Ohio, and down here in MS the situation seemed to be quite a bit different.
The only good thing about all of this has been meeting Stephen. He is a life-long friend who will do anything for you. He also knows his way around the 944 better than just about anyone I know - a truly awesome individual.
Micah

Dustin's 87.
Leslie and I.
Dustin Thurston's extremely rare (and beautiful) "all-leather" option interior. Door panels, lower dash and console were all stitched leather.
Matt Ritenour: National Sex Symbol
Iceshark Headlights
Clockwise: Julian, Leslie, Micah, Jenny, Dustin, Stephen and Matt taking the picture.
