Yeah, I've always been in love with the early z-cars. I hope to be in the market for a 240z, in a couple of years when I need another vehicle. While the 944 has taught me much in mechanical repair, the 240z will make me an expert in body repair.

my dad is a Z-car guy as well. he has one of the 500-ish original 1970 240Z's to come to the US its first year of production. he's waiting for my little brother to graduate before we begin it's restoration.

vehicles:
'91 Toyota Celica GT
'94 Kawasaki Ninja ZX600
'88 924S sport edition

and i payed for all of them myself and sold the first to for no less than what i payed. not too bad for a 22 y/o, i suppose.

one thing i noticed were how many people have lost vehicles in accidents. i can't believe i didn't kill myself on the ninja. it was totalled by the kid i sold it to only 6 weeks later.

Now I could be wrong, but do I have the oldest car on Rennlist?

1948 Dodge D24 Sedan (under restoration/updating for the past 2 years). And then there is also the 951. My only two, and I'm quite happy with them.

Betcha no one out there has owned a 1983 Renault Fuego Turbo????

When I was in High School in the late 80's, all the "cool" kids drove Mustangs, Z28s or Bimmers...I, on the other hand, drove a strange french car that kinda looked like a giant bug (not a VW, but an insect)... Needless to say, I was so beyond cool at that time in my life!

One quick Fuego anecdote:

Anyone remember those folding Porsche brand sunglasses? The were aviator style that folded up and had a little carrying case??? Well, when the Fuego was released in the US, Renault made up "Fuego" folding sunglasses, just like the Porsche ones...only different! They gave you a pair if you went for a Fuego test drive. My dad and I went and drove a Fuego and got a couple of pairs of the glasses. Ironically, I had no idea I would actually own one of those cars when I was like 16! Ha! Used to keep them in the glove box.

I loved the 84 GTI's, they seem to be hard to come by these days.
Even with the horrible build quality of the time it was a great car.

Ha! Tony, I had a 1980 Monza Spyder too! It was Camel Metallic with a tan interior. 231 Buick V6, 4 speed. It was actually a quick little car.
Small world.

'50 ****** Overland Jeepster Convertible (Red/Black/Black)
'84 944 (Alpine White/Black script)
'86 951 (Kalahari Beige Metallic/Brown)
'93 Chevrolet Lumina (White/Grey)
'92 Talon TSI AWD (Black/Tan)
'96 Audi A4 (Navy/Grey)

I still own all but the Lumina and the Talon. The A4 is my daily driver, the 951 is my toy, and my dad has taken over driving duties on the '84 N/A. The ****** Jeepster Convertible was my mom's car when she was in college, and I began restoration on it when I was 14. It's now finished, but spends most of its time in storage or my parent's garage.

In order:

1986 928S (red) manual first car that I bought but wasn't old enough to drive. Still managed to drive it around the block few times. Took sometime to get around it lol. Sold it.
1986 951 (red) July 04,2000 First real car that I learned how to drive well with. Still own and I'm never going to sell it.
1983 944 (red) auto bought drive home and parted it out and scrapped the metal.
1985/1 (red) bought parted it out sold shell.
1988 924S (red) bought, fixed, and sold on ebay.
I don't think Porsche made any other colors besides red. I bet all you guys just photoshop your cars lmao

My list is kinda short compared to some but I'm only 21. Many more german cars to come.
