They are supposed to hold up well to chemicals, gas, etc. 10 year warranty. (But I have a box of spares anyway, and you can replace them very easily if they get damgaed.) They are non-porus plastic -- they do not absorb.

As long as it is flat, it should be ok. Bumpy floors would not work so well though.

Sears are about a buck a square cheaper than racedeck. The Sears tiles look like a copy of racedeck, but its hard to say if they are as good. Silver and black is a popular set up according to my tile salesmen.

Dang,
I need to work on my Garage. Really too hot though. Last time I looked it was 110F in garage. Well may be I can squeeze some time in somewhere.

Man, that floor coating makes a huge difference in the appearance. Nice for cleaning up spills too.
