Default Stereo Wiring

I'm trying to wire a Blaupunkt Honolulu into my 86 944. The last installation was a total hack job so I'm trying to sort it all out and I'm left with a few questions:
In one "harness"
2 Brown Wires (Grounds)
3 Red w/Black wires ?
2 Green ?
1 Red w/White (Ignition starter?)
The remaining eight wires, I figure are speaker wires and I can sort that out myself. Any help is greatly appreciated. -Trevor

try a volt meter for the grounds and power, then for the speaker wires connect a 9 volt to 2 wires and you will hear the speaker click then you know which is which

When the speakers "click", is that the correct or incorrect wire orientation?

the click identifies which speaker is which, say you connect 2 speaker wires and you hear no click then they are from differnt speakers, if you connect 2 wires and hear a click then thet tells you what speaker it is so you can wire it to your deck

I don't think the polarity really matters, thanks for the advice. Just have to figure out which is: Constant power, Illumination, and ignition, then I should be good.

Do a google search...I was able to find several pages that outlined exactly what each wire is for.
I have them bookmarked.....at work.
