I recently purchased a Dansk sport muffler and a Dansk intermediate exhaust.

They look great. Not yet installed.

My question is the Dansk muffler has a small box near where it would connect to the intermediate exhaust that sort of looks like a small resonator. There is nothing similar on my oem exhaust system. You can see it in the pictures below. Do I need the intermediate exhaust? In other words should I straight pipe to the muffler rather than add the Dansk intermediate?

I don’t want to filter out all the sound if I’m doubling up! But I also don’t want a drone. Appreciate any feedback or any experience you might have had with same.

I’ve already cut the oem exhaust out, but nothing installed yet. This is an 87 924s. You can see the small box on the left in photo on end of the muffler and the intermediate on the right. Thanks!
