Does it sound like a sewing machine? Like a whirring/spinning?

Recommend you quit trying to crank it until you can get a better idea of the problem.

The electrical monotone sounds like the fuel pump. If it just died suddenly without blowing up its eithr fuel or electrical. My guess is electrical

If the timing belt breaks the engine turns over with a whirring sound, as it is not pumping air, just spinning.

I think MichelleJD had the same issue on her 951- You may want to PM or e-mail her. I cant remember exactly what it was, amd I'm not going to guess.

What did the guages do when it quit? any warning lights pop on?

Chris i found out that MichelleJD problem was her Pipe thing falling off the turbo or something. Doesnt work for an N/a

It could be a turd like mine and one of the sensors went out. Do the tests and save money instead of just guessing.

My guess is DME relay. Common problem with the symptoms you are describing. Luckily its not expensive. Check this first before exploring more expensive options.

Here is one easy way to check if your valves are ok see if the belt is still on. If it is then check if it's at TDC. It sounds to me like it has bent valve no compression so it turns over freely.

Top Dead Center. Check the inspection hole at the top of the bellhousing- (It's a little difficult to see, but it's there) inside on the flywheel there is a marking for TDC.

Oh nelly Socal dont scare us like that... but with Texas sand and heat and rattle snakes in the timing belt cover... it is very well possible.

Scare you? Get a grip.

"doesn't make a sound or anything it just turns off"

"i just hear this kind of electrical monotone constant sound thing...any ideas or suggestions?"

My suggestion is that the timing belt should have been changed a long time ago.

Oops! Too late.
