Default 1985.5/2 944 suspension transferable with the S,S2,Turbo suspension?

Hello! I am planning to put in KW suspension. But it says it’s for the 1986-1991 S,S2,Turbo and I’m trying to figure out if it’s the same as a 1985.5/2 suspension. (this is the later year car with updated dash etc)

This is a 8v car!!

you would need to swap to the 87+ spindles as well.
the spindles on your car have a 20mm wide tab for the strut to bolt to.
on the 87+ that tab is now 18mm.

... and hubs, and bearings, and rotors, and wheels. Early offset wheels do not fit well on late offset suspension.

I will be upgrading brakes, and I’m doing custom wheels in the future as well. Why would I need to change the hubs? Geometry difference? Or just to space stuff out for wheels?

the hubs are completely different from 86 vs 87+.

in order to do this swap in question the only part that would be reused on your car would be the control arms, calipers. and wheels.

you would need the late style struts, spindles, hubs, brake discs, and strut mounts.

offset on the front is determined by the control arm length, not the hub.

Sweet thank you for the information! And thank you for the clarification on the hubs spacing. I more so was thinking of rim offset change. Not the movement from the control arm.
