Default Time to say goodbye

After 3 944s over 14 years it time to say goodbye to you guys. A nice young man who's a real 944 enthusiast and was on his 3rd 944 by age 21 recently had his current 944 NA rear ended and totaled. He was put into contact with me by friend who knew at age 73 I was reluctantly thinking about selling my 1989 S2. Well it went to good home yesterday with that young man who was thrilled with the car's condition condition and grunt the 3 liter provided. I had her for 11 years and she was a good car. I hope it does the same for him.

Cheers to a graceful departure and to 14 years. You'll surely miss the experience but you'll know the car is in good hands.

Your post makes me reflect on my ownership. We joined the forum at the same time. I joined the same month I got my 951. However, I've always felt I will never sell, although the time must come eventually, indeed.

Default Goodbye

Adios, my friend. It’s been a good run. Don’t throw in the towel yet. I’m 80 and still going strong on mine. Yeah, it’s been hard these last couple of years, with the wiring setback, but I’m still chugging along. Thanks for all your knowledge and help. Godspeed in your new adventures. 😀

sorry to see you go ...wishing you all the best in whatever you drive next. As a fellow 73 year old I quite understand....Its getting its getting increasingly difficult to get down on my knees or lie on my back to fix stuff these days but I cannot imagine driving anything else for the foreseeable future.

I will say..."congrats"!
Don't second guess your decision Sir.
Jack stands & a creeper are one thing when you're 40.
Jack stands & a creeper are a whole other thing at 61.
