nobody here even eluded to the fact that it will be a saturday afternoon. everyone is aware of the fact that it will be an ongion project for julie, if she takes it on... She has help from a couple experts here, and help from me, and I'm sure porsche-o-phile would help, and others around here as well. its not a saturday afternnon, but its not more then a couple weeks to have it running. then a couple more weeks, to a couple more months to have it in good shape.

i went by today and the manager was out to lunch, I'll get something going on monday. any suggestions on how to expedite the process. these guys dont really want to help me that much, their all ******** there for the most part, but they do want it off the lot, and told me if i can get the title, i can have it. I want to tell them to get a lein for it.

Just take the car and strip it for parts. If nothing else, you will have los os spare to fiux up another 944 w/o title problems. Or use it to turn your NA into a 951.

If they are giving it away free, TAKE IT NOW, worry about the title and other crap later. Just get possession of it. Worst case is you chop it for parts and park the shell somewhere in the middle of the night.

Maybe the police will impound it and auction it off in a few months and you can buy the shell for $50 and title it and put all the good parts back on. Any vehicle bought at ggov't auction will have paper work to apply for title. The Police siesure wipes out all the past legal problems and gives the buyer clean ownership.

First thing I would do is take the VIN to the DMV and make sure that the title is clear... not stolen etc.
