Wink KYB owners, your opinons and updates on handling needed here

Hey guys, I noticed that I have KYB gas-adjusts on the *** end of my car and I'd like to get rid of the shot Boge's in the front but my pocket change is low seeing that I have to pay 1,000 a month for school tuition at National University.

So, KYB is my only option right now and I'm also trying to save up for M030 sways and 220 lb springs. I have some questions for you KYB owners. First, I have no complaints about the ones on the rear. They seem stiff enough, perhaps more stiff than the factory Boge's. But, how are your cars doing with the KYB's? Any advice about going KYB all the way around would be appreciated.

BTW, the cheapest I could find BOGE for was at Vertex for 69 each all the way around....if anyone has a cheaper source online, please let me know since I'd like to get new shocks soon. Thanks!

Andy

I haven't heard much good about the KYBs. When I looked at shock, everyone I talked steered me away from them.

That being said; I have no personal experience with them. Is there any way you can swing the extra few dollars for the Konis?

You seem too easily persuaded. Wait for more comments...

Like I said, I don't have personal experience. Listen to those who do.

$37? I thought they were more than that. Are you looking at the Red or White?

i have KYB white's on the back of the track car. eventually i'll get around to making it run right so i can test them out!

anyone know how to adjust koni rear shocks? i have a pair of used ones in the garage, and i want to play with them on my car but i need to figure out how to adjust them.

also, anyone have a couple of speed and reference sensors they can give me so i can get that beast running right? the spares i had are now in florida 951's car

For the Konis, compress them all the way and turn clockwise to stiffen (is that a word?).

I have had a set or two. To be honest I think they are junk but the price is right and anything is better than bad shocks/struts. I think they ride like you are riding on a 500 lb spring but again, what do I know.

Serge, ever ridden in a car with 500 lb springs? Hope you dont have fillings. My biggest complaint is a total lack of rebound. I cant imagine they would be anything other than total junk on a track, I never used them there.

ok, so about those konis... they are compressed fully, but they just turn and turn and turn, shouldn't there be a stop? i want to get them synchronized so they perform the same while i'm driving - even if it's just to test them out.

thanks!
