Headlight motor Relay... Bypass?
Im trying to track down the problem with my headlights not raising or lowering.. I have current at the plug and the motor seems fine inside. Is there a way I can jump the relay terminals to rule out the motor being dead? There is a schematic on the relay but I cant tell which ones to jump, can anyone help?
Thanks,
Zack

These are for the early 944's but the headlight motor circuit in the front is the same.

If the motor is dead- you'll hear nothing when you turn the lights on.
If the fiber gear is stripped- the motor will make sound but no uppy- downy action.
Check the relay as well- "borrow" one from another car that's known to work and test it on your motor. Keep in mind the power to the headlight motor plug is always live..
Stopgap- unplug the power connector and manually raise the headlights using the **** on the motor.
