Default Not the right solution for everyone, but - Hatch rattle gone!

Ever since I removed my rear wiper assembly last week, I mean everything, I don't have even a hint of hatch rattle. At this point I have to imagine that having three to five pounds of wiper motor hanging off the glass has to contribute A LOT to hatch noise.

I recently silenced my hatch by removing that damned luggage shroud assembly.

I went nuts with a tube of silicone and it helped with hatch noise a lot.

my wiper makes a little rattle, so i get out, push on the little metal thing that attatches the wiper blade to the arm, and it goes away.

I'm pretty sure Hatch Noise was a standard option on all U.S. models throughout the 944's entire run. I'm not sure of its option code though...

Hatch Noise is one option I wish the P/O didn't get!!

I have a new theory I wanna try out: Anyone think OVER tightening the pins can cause the hatch to be too tight against the seal/body--thus causing more creaks and rattles? Or is it the tighter, the better??

I MUST find out what's rattling in my hatch area!!

If you make them too tight, you will never be able to open your hatch! Believe me, this happened to me. If they are too loose, they will rattle like crazy. I gues some where in the middle is the safe point. But the again, remember that prosche hatches are notorious for glass/frame separation, which is the underlying cause for ALL of our rattling.
