EDIT: Speaking of which... are there going to be t-shirts done for this year??

Oh yea, T-shirts are on order. I'll give away a bunch with the doorprizes and hope to sell the rest for $20 a pop. I'm hoping to recover a bit of my investment.
I'm sure the avatar/badges would be slick.. Many folks it would fit great.. but other folks change the avatars so often I fear there wouldn't be a connection. We may have to settle for plain ole' name badges.

Dan, I'm sure most every attendee would be more than willing to fork over a measly 20 bones for a t-shirt. We don't want you out of house and home over this. By the way... can you consider these posts my RSVP? lol, I keep forgetting to email you!

I'm in! Until today, I didn't think I could make it due to a previously scheduled family vacation. However, I am going to opt to miss a day of that vacation and just meet up with my family in the Smokies after enjoying the food, fellowship, and Porsches at the Fest! I want to publicly thank Dan for all his hard work in planning this event.
Speaking of family, actually, my father is also planning to come. We are just going to meet up with my mother and sisters a day late. We haven't fully decided which car to take, but because he is so taken with the 968 I brought home last week, we will probably come in the Amazon Green Machine.
Speaking of the 968, because my dad likes it so much, I have decided to sell it to him and have already started looking for another one. I actually bought it for myself, but since he has been searching for one for a while now, I am going to defer to the man who has had the greatest impact on my life of any one person on earth. Don't get me wrong, I want to keep that 968 for myself so badly that it hurts, but I love my dad, and he hasn't been this pumped up about Porsches in a long time. So, by the time we make it to the Fest, the 968 will probably be all his. That means more happy 968 hunting for me!
I know this is a somewhat tangential post, but I must ask: has anyone ever seen a Rubystone Red 968? I know that the color was offered only in 1992, but I have never seen one or even heard of one. I have seen a beautiful 964 (European spec) in that color before, and am crazy about it. Another color I like is Amythest, but of course, I usually gravitate to the rare colors, so no surprise there....
I sure do wish there were some guys going to the Fest from the South. I'm thinking of taking the long way (towards SC and NC) just so I can caravan!

Jonathan, it is with great pleasure that I add you to my list. Of course you are doing the right thing letting Pops have the 968.. you will find another and probably enjoy the search! I'm glad to see we'll have a 968 at the Fest! See ya in 10 days! ::gulp::

Firming up the RSVP list, IF everyone shows who RSVP'd, we're at about 34 cars and 50ish people. That is enough to break the record. I've ordered enough food to feed a handful of spectators beyond our numbers and enough shirts for everyone x2. Yea, I'll have some spares but I hope YOU guys will want some spares too. (Just WAIT till ya see the logo!)
