do not ever use lacquer primer, only use catalyzed products, buy the most expensive products you can afford,pay now or pay later...

Burma's right, you may have gotten a poor quality primer. Acrylic Urethane paints are very sensitive to some primers. the Latex you are talking about maybe unstable for automotive finishes and more for something around the yard.

Thank you for the offer Winslow, I may have to consider it!

Im not sure what type of paint the Ultra 7000 sherwin williams automotive paint is. I would imagine it is an enamel of some sort, considering it cost 600 dollars.

In regards to primer, I called the local automotive paint dealer, they claimed that I can use any insaluble primer with the paint im using. Im not exactly sure what that mean (insaluble in which solvent??) Anywho, I informed the gentleman that I can rebuild an engine with a blindfold on, but I dont know a thing about paint, his reply was simple and to the point, "Come by tomorrow and I'll give you the primer you need." So problem solved; Horray!!
