Slippery When Wet... Warning Porsche + Rain = Great Photos (Hi Rez)
Went out to mom's today and of course it rained again. After washing it in the driveway, it rained and before I dried her off I grabbed the camera and starting taking some really neat pictures.
My new digital camera has more bells and whistles on it than I can figure out. I tried some of the affects that it has. My wife and friends have told me that I have a great eye for taking unique photos although this is the first camera I've ever owned and so far have had to teach myself about lighting and angles and such.
I would appreciate hearing what you guys think. Please give feedback as I'm in learning mode here and soaking up everything I can get about photography like a sponge...

A few more...
A few rim and tire pics...
These two are my favorite out of all of them.
Here's a shot down my mom's road after the sun came out... Finally!!!

Nice pix. I'd love to have seen your car (with droplets) on that photo of the road. The red would have really stood out against the black and green.
One of the biggest errors I see in amateur photos is flat lighting or shooting into shadow. Yes, it can be done for moody effect in some cases, but mostly, flat photos, lacking in contrast or those with the subject so deep in shadow just are muddy. Yuck. Also avoid the extreme contrast where your highlights are over exposed and the shadows are under exposed.
Get the exposure right, even if you have to bracket. Get some contrast in your photos.
One of the greatest things I've found with digital cameras is I can take a gazillion photos and ponder then at length later as well as review them immediately. It's not like conventional film where each photo costs money. With digital I just try all sorts of stuff and rarely delete a photo in the camera.
I'm getting really close to selling my conventional photo gear I've accumulated over the years and buying a digital SLR. My Kodak DX6490 will work for 95% of my needs, I really want the interchangable lenses (like fast, long lenses and 3+ fps motor drive).
