Painted the calipers.
I got the calipers and rotor hats done today. I just used high heat paint but after the 944 Fest they will get powdercoated.
I also found out that the centercaps on the new wheels are too small to use Porsche centercaps so I put 356 hood handle crests on the Kahn centercaps. Thanks to Carl Nall for the idea.

Think you could take a photo from a little further away? I am trying to get an idea as to how much the red stands out. Looks great though! You car is gorgeous!

Nice! I love painted calipers...
Does anyone with regular, boring, 8v na brakes have painted calipers? I've contemplated painting mine, but they just don't seem to be as interesting as the "higher" calipers. Does anyone have pics of those, just for grins?
Although I'll probably end up doing it anyway...

Brian, do a search if no one posts the painted NA calipers. Not out to hurt anyone's little feelings, but the last pics I saw of an NA that was "Big Red-ed" looked REEEEALLY blingy to me.
'Sides, that's just ANOTHER ****in thing to fret over being clean; when you COULD be driving that mo' fo'!

The "super makeover" progresses! I would've preferred black, myself, but then again I'm pretty conservative about how my cars look.
With the "red and blue" combo, I guess you're all set for 4th of July!

Pete - That looks very nice! I normally would agree with Luis about liking the more conservative 'look,' but that wheel and the brake combo look very tasteful in my opinion Are those wheels 18's? Nice car!
BB - I painted my calipers(924S) red a while back, i liked the look until i started thinking it was too loud for my taste. I don't think i have any pictures unfortunately. In the future i'm going to be painting them a gloss black i think. We'll see....

I'm hoping that since the car is red, the red calipers won't be quite so blatant. But still, I'd like to see some good pics before I do it.
