Yeah, but you're still 5+ seconds out of FTD, you gotta close the gap a little. I was kinda bummed to be ~3 sec behind a well modded 914 at the last couple events, until I found out he was running within a second of FTD
Welcome to the hijacking

Sorry Tifo, at least we're keeping you bumped!

Nope:
05-05-02 autocross: Phil beats me by 0.006 seconds.
06-23-02 autocross: I take second place in class and beat Phil by 0.867 seconds (Phil took third)
09-07-02 autocross: I take first place and beat Phil by 1.137 seconds. (Phil takes 2nd)
09-08-02 autocross: I take first place and beat Phil by 1.223 seconds (Phil takes 2nd again)

09-08-02 was the last I've seen Phil on the autocross course.
But who's keeping score anyway?!?

It would be nice if he joins us again though, I'm sure he'll put in a time somewhere just behind me and ahead of you!
And with this, the NNJ 6-12 event trashtalk begins!
That is a mathematical impossibility! If he's just behind you, there's no way he'd be ahead of me, since my times will be better than yours!

Slam!!

Tifo & all you Cinci guys: my deepest apologies for hijacking this thread! If it helps any, I just had the BEST DE ever this past weekend at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. That track is WORLD CLASS! The BEST!

Let me clarify that Eric's "stock" SC has a motor that was rebuilt a few years back to euro specs (201hp), has a freer-flowing exhaust, and has been totally stripped/gutted of about 400lbs of weight, and lowered at all four corners via the eccentrics and front t-bar adjusters.

The NNJR-PCA members call that "Potomac PCA Stock."

I think you have the smooth vs. aggressive backwards if you're talking about putting the power down. I sure wasn't the one lighting up the inside tire down most of the "straight"...I was the one that was smooth enough to get the car to hold traction and got up to the limiter (that means I was faster there....) remember?

You guys will be begging for mercy when I bring out the FSAE car...

Too bad your FTD wasn't faster than mine!

Ahh...
So it is "stock" just like your's is "Bone Stock" Ok got it .

Not bad then.

Yeah I was 5 seconds off top time of the day. Then again I was only looking at street tire times. I can 't compete for TTOD when I am on streets so I go for then next best thing. BTW... That guy was also 2 seconds faster than #2 overall.

I think my time in a old faded 100% stock 83 944 that was purchased as a parts car is pretty darn good. Remember ES100's are not that sticky anyway. Heck I don't even know all the aligment settings? Never checked!

Except when you blow your clutch or clutch cylinders (still working on the cause) on the first session....

Darth: where you there this past weekend?

Hope you get your car back up and running, if it's not yet there!

Yep, that was me with the black 968 getting towed off the first session and wondering what happened all weekend asking everyone what to do. I am leaning right now towards a bad slave/master cylinder. I got under there last night and removed the starter, found that there was a gunky mess under there telling me that there was a leak, and one a while back. I will bleed the cylinder tonight and probably the master tonight as well hoping that will get the car going.

Also, while under there I did the clutch plate measurement and came up with about 32-33mm, pretty close to the limit. Though, if the slave cylinder is bad, would I be getting a bogus reading? I hope to find a new reading after bleeding.

OK, I have the vids from this event. They are 19meg each, one of the 911 and one of my 944. Is there any place I can have them hosted for people to view?

Thanks!

Isn't it about time for someone to post that 'Fast and Furious' quote? Inch or a mile? Something like that?
