Talking West Coast Wrenchers! New group name

Alrighty, it's been decided:

West Coast Wrenchers -
Where Brute Force and Ignorance Solves all.

This means Goingboeing737 wins a freeeeee T-Shirt for the name!

T-Shirt designs will follow.

Now, answers to some of your questions:

1) Why not Watercoolers?

Because the core group works on MORE than 944s and 951s. I did not want to exclude any Porsches or anything else we choose to work on.

2) Why not Renn-coast?

Because it is too complicated for the general public to comprehend. Part of a good name is that anyone can understand what the words mean!

3) What about Jesse James' group? Won't the names get confused?

Do I give a rat's *** about that!? There's a BIG dif in the name Wrench and Monster Garage, or whatever he calls himself.

I don't see any of us opening a shop anytime soon! Even so, it wouldn't matter.

Should we have another event here? We have a donor car that needs a 951 motor replacement and we are going to use a n/a block conversion.....

I'm in as well, also will bring some extra gloves and rags to replenish what was used the last two times.

So did James get the stumbling boost issue resolved?

Ah, shucks....

On behalf of Greaselingers, Rennlisters, Wrenching Societies, and all the plain old DIY's.....I accept this shirt...and will wear it with PRIDE.

I will have to drop in on y'all during one of my layovers out there.

PS: I don't watch (or know anything about) wrestling, so I had no idea that there is/was something called the WCW, until it was explained to me......

Eyal, glad to see you take it like a man. Shame you didn't cry...then I'd feel compelled to give you a shirt!

2tight, it was waaaay to close...enough to make me uncomfy for awhile!

But for you N. CA, WA, OR, AZ, UT, or any other states touching West Coast states (Including Mexico and Baha California), I will extend the use of the finished logo and the artwork for you all to use. I will have them up on my website, so you can also download the images.

As a matter of fact, I have spoken with Tshirt places today, on cost.

I will experiment with a few things, even if it winds up being full color/white transfers on black.

Anyway, I will see about extending cost of shirts to all interested. It's the XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL that cost more. But I'll do my best.

Anyway, sketches will now follow, and we can talk about those.

So, I have the idea of 944 with cartoon guys under the hood, under the car with oil spilling onto the poor guy there; Sexy girl holding a sawzall, and things being fixed. Someone with the thumbs up, just light-hearted fun.

I guess I could have the logo, and then a few seperate transfers for funzies, I dunno.

Let the ideas roll!

You join by asking! We have get togethers, but not everyone can make it. That's why I don't mind if others would like to use the name & logo, in the spirit of things.

Where is LaCrescenta, btw?

There is always the possibility of meeting halfway in the state, for N. and S. to mee!

I just would love it if others would arrange workshops like we are doing down here.

It's the spirit of sharing info, and helping each other what this is all about!

And if anyone from other states want to visit when they are on a trip, we will see if we can at least say hi!

La Crescenta is in the foothills west of Pasadena... if you take the 2 north past glendale to the 210, its the town to west of La Canada and Montrose. Very nice place to live... my parents used to live in La Canada, foothill living be good living fo sure.
