I did mine myself. Dont try to rush yourself. Total cost to me was <$100USD for the Deluxe kit for both ball joints and some misc crap like brake disc cleaner, etc.

I got my car and thought it was the best handling car id ever driven bar none at all. Then I replaced my shot tie rods, ball joints, and caster blocks and got an alignment LOL! Amazing difference, HUGE difference through the seat of my pants in road feel and such.

And I was amazed at what I pulled out of the joints, some bits of worn plastic that had been the cup, torn boots, hardly any grease.

Yea I can't wait till I get my tie rods and struts. I know it will make a huge difference, the balljoints did. And yes mine were destroyed as well, chunks of plastic something that looked like it used to be the spring. It was amazing how bad they actually where.

If you buy arms from Vertex make sure to keep there warrantee paper work. They mill out the arms and press in aftermarket joints. They are NON REBUILDABLE arms... except by them.
Seems like they should have a disclaimer or something that says they are not rebuilt to OEM spec.
Food for thought.

I am going to order the kit from Rennbay and give it a shot. I have also meet a few guys locally that have 944/951's that offered to help. Worst casing it I will I can get my mechanic to help me out with it. It should still be way cheaper then $1200. I will report back once I have it complete. Can't wait to see the handling as I love the way this car handles.
