Default Recent Mod's - Lot's 'o Pic's

I'm PCtarded, so let's see if I can attach even one:

Newly purchased and polished late offset 16" PD's w/colored center caps, Kumho Ecsta MX's (weirdass looking sidewalls, hate the look). More pic's to follow:

Sharp! Did you polish the dials yourself... or is that why you bought them? Either way, that must have been a real bitch!

Clean looking NA!

Polished cam tower. Waiting for Intake from a fellow Rennlister and cam sprocket cover from George B. Together it should all look great.

Brian, I wanted to polish them myself, but it would just take too much time, you're right. I had Al Reed Polishing in Anaheim, CA do it. I CANNOT recommend him highly enough. This is a cool guy, a car guy, a Porsche guy and just walking his shop makes you drool - DiTomaso wheels, Viper, Lightning, C5, true Halibrands, Fuchs as common as dust all over.

PERRY DEMANDS, I MUST COMPLY! :>)

p.s. Aren't those some weird looking sidewalls? If I'd known they were coming with silhouettes (sic?) of "Flipper" on them I wouldn't have bought them! Not to mention the little raised ribs perpendicular to the rotation which makes even dull tire dressing look greyish. Oh well, the wheels look good and these tires REALLY stick.

Brian,
Thanks for the compliment. My car looks good pretty good now but of course, I must defer to your 951. I'd give my "left" for that car. Truly one of the few icon 951's that show what these cars can be in the hands of the right type of owner. Bravo!
Obviously, with the NA I am going for a little different look. More of the resto-rod look, restored but enhanced, the "be-all-you-can-be" look. Carl Nall's got the look on his early NA. I wanted it for my late one. I was once convinced I'd go with C2's but after an FR Wilk chip, 8mm Magnecor's and the gains they made, you guys convinced me to save the weight and I opted for 16" PD's, albeit as good as I could make them look. Thanks everyone. I'll post one or two more and let it be.

Thanks Mike,
Yeah, the wheel is great. I didn't detail the interior before taking that shot so it doesn't look it's best. Hadafew prob's installing it- had the 928 hub adapter...duh! But once I got the right part it was a snap

I've seen your car...simply gorgeous. It manages to be both mean looking and elegant at the same time...and I love the color too.

John D., recheck the post. I had Al Reed do them. My polishing is unworthy to be mentioned inthe same breath as his. I did NOT have them clear anodized as Al said it would kill 10 to 15% of the shine. I wanted them to look as good as they could.

If you're serious about polishing on your personal car, call Al:
714/632-3907 (No, he's NOT my uncle!). But he's truly a good guy. Busy as hell but honest as the day is long, thorough and just a great car guy.
