I'll be doing this shortly, so i thought ild inform u others since i thought i was agood idea. basically, im getting a portable mp3 palyer that has a 'sd disk' expansion slot. so internal memory doesnt matter. if ur curious, ill be getting the 'TDK Mojo 128F'. then ill build an adapter and wire the headphone output under the arm console and carpet, to the back of the head unit (cd players) input recepticals. I have a 512mb sd disk. And if you encode your mp3's at 192kb/sec (very good quality), then you should be able to store a good 120 or so songs on it. others have invested in mp3 players with 20gb harddrives, but i dont need that. also the other advantage (for some ppl) of the more expensive mp3 players, is that they have nice menus for selecting your music, also, i dont need that. so im pretty much set. the batter life should last 12 hours, or a weeks worth of my long commute, so i'll just recharge the battery the same time i change the music... 1ce a week ![Big Grin](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

MY daughter has a 20 gig DEll DJ. paid about $200 and can hold 7,000 songs or so. We use a fm transmitter fom the headphone jack and pick up the signal on the radio's fm band. sounds good.

why dont u just get a head unit that will read mp3 cds? my friend got a jvc one for like $120 (ebay is great) and he just burns 700mb of mp3s onto a cd and sticks it in the head unit and it'll play just like a regular cd

She bought the Dell used on Ebay for $210 and it had 2700 songs already loaded on it.Mostly good tunes. I deleted two songs by "DJ Assult" before I gave it to her. A couple of days later, I saw that Dell had refurb. 15 gig DJ's for $178 and refurb 20 gig's were $249.
Dell prices float like comodities. Right now, refurb 15's are $187 and reffurb 20's are $218!!
