Look for WS_FTP_LE i still use it on XP without any probs.

In fact, i've never had any problems FTPing in XP. Mayhaps you're behind a router that's too strict on the firewall? Is your Windows XP Built-in-crappy-firewall on?

Thanks, but.....

1) I've already stated I'm using WS FTP on both machines.

2) I have zero issues ftping from my old machine on the same network so the router should not be the issue.

I have turned off the XP firewall. I am running Norton Personal firewall, but I have the same problem whether it's turned on or off.

I don't think there is a glitch in XP, but something isn't working right.

It's making bloody crazy. I cannot even find anything on-line as a resource for this issue.

I had the same problem but mine would sometimes load the whole file and sometimes like 90% of it. I gave up on it.

I GOT IT!!!

Or more correctly, a buddy of mine near Skip got it.

We looked through the wireless router set-up (D-Link DI-614+) and that gave us something to look at. We starting pinging and finding the max packet size (or something like that).

Anyhow, I we downloaded Dr TCP and set the MTU size, and WOO HOO I'm FTPing!!!

Thanks everyone for your help.

BTW, what made this of immediate concern is I'm going start an eBay auction tomorrow (I link to a web page rather than build on theirs) for a pair of really nice 15x8 Fuchs. If any Rennlister wants them I'll give them $25 off the BIN price of $400. I'll post the link to the page before the auction goes up.
