Default Car Polish or Wax Suggestions

Does anyone have a suggestion for polish or wax to use on my 83 red metallic clear-coated paint?

I've been using DuraGloss for years, but I've run out. I thought this might be a good time to try something different.

I've read good stuff about Zymol.

Doesn't it come in two varities, one for dark colors and one for light cars? Which do you use on your guards red? Or is that just the paste wax?

Never heard of 3M Hand Glaze. Do you know where I would find that?

I bought it at Pep Boys.

I like Meguars personally.

yes, you can get it at pepboys, a little hard too find because it is in a very plain bottle, and not as flashy as all of the other things you will see there, but if not there any paint supply store should have some on hand. THis is just a polish you will need to put on a wax after it, but it will make your paint shine like new with a little work.

All about zymol...

The stuff from walmart etc.. not the expensive crap! The cheap stuff is actually better! I know I am a wax freak and its all about cheap zymol! (I am going to try the new Turtlewax soon maybe it will be good) but so far out of everything for deep color and a great shine you have to make it zymol!

Griot's Garage "Best of Show Wax" Their products aren't cheap, but the best of everything I have ever tried.

Griot's Garage Wax....Website

No affiliation, just a satisfied customer, YMMV.........

I use Megiuars Gold Class Paste Wax and Megiuars Show Car Polish to keep the paint looking new. I want to try the Zaino Bros. stuff but I don't feel like ordering it, I wish they sold it in stores. Here are some recent pics:

Only gripe is that the wax doesn't last that long

I'm a big fan of Klasse "All-in-One" Polish and "Trade Secret" Carnauba Wax.

Flame suit on! I've been using Dri Wash n' Gard for about 8 years now, my cars are garaged and all I do is a California Duster before I drive the car. Bird poop and tree sap just doesn't stick to this stuff; a wet towel, Dri Wash, and a dry buff is all I do to restore a bad spot. I've tried the Zaino Bros. stuff and it is a lot of work but looks good. Only problem I had was any water or bird poop that set on the car left a crater that had to worked flush with more Zaino. Way too much work, cut into my driving time!

I guess we get a lot more rain here. My car gets a good deal of mud on it from time to time. And an occasional dose of salt in the winter.

Thanks for the comment, though.
