Default What to take off of a donor car '88 924s

I have taken the engine (inspected and completely rebuilt it), transaxle is shot. Car was in bad wreck, but are there any small things like expensive fuses or random things of worth that I should take for a rebuild. I do have an engineless '87 924s I am putting the '88 Engine in. I just want to know if there are any random things I should be taking off the wrecked '88 before scraping it to give room in the garage. Random question, the steering wheels are different, I have the 3 spoke, and the other 4 spoke. Is there one that is more desirable than the other?

If it has rear manual sunroof latches, sport (or script) seats or script door handles, those are usually in high demand

Do you know anything about the steering wheels that I mentioned? The research I have done didn't really help.

Grab all the clamps, clips, brackets and other bits you can. For instance, the plastic rear carpet retaining clips are $10/piece and this check valve is over $500.00 new!

Check interior and determine if it is an SE - if so, grab the suspension (M030)

Any pieces of vinyl that are unhurt, like the inside of the a-pillars, dash, seats e.t.c. just hide in the lower temperature attic for "down the line use".

As far as steering wheels go, just pick the one you like better.

I'd be interested in the 5th gear set from the broken transaxle.

Can you post the options tag from the broken car? That would help us determine if there's valuable bits.
edit: from the pics in your other post, I don't think it's a SE.

The '88 DME should go with the '88 Engine.

Here are the option codes. I would like to add, the seats are accounted for, I am very well aware of the rarity/cost of them.

If that's too much I'd grab these for starters:
  • DME
  • relays
  • shirt hangers
  • hatch struts assuming they are working and have the male electrical connectors
  • hatch privacy shutter if the end pieces are OK
  • glove compartment door if it has a working coat of arms cover
  • reference sensors
  • rear hatch
  • euro bumpers if so equipped
  • any money you find

I bought a 944 parts car from someone in Iowa.
I found a one pound coin, a whole bunch of NYC parking tickets, and some really old (full) beer bottles in it.

I get why sport seats are in demand. But I never liked the script seats. Plain leather, please. Kinda I don't like the seats with a giant Porsche crest embroidered on the seat right where your head rests. Just seems like "Hey look everyone, I have a Porsche!" I have seen a 944 with Porsche Crests on both sides of the fender, like Ferrari does. Also, seen a 944 back glass with a Porsche Crest sticker that was so big it took up the whole back glass. Have yet to see a last name in Old English all the way across the back 944 glass, but Ford and Chevy step sides with ground effects, another story. I know my opinion is just that, an opinion, but I have always liked how 944s are rather understated, slick and reserved with nice lines. Just the one Factory Porsche sticker on the back is good enough for me.

Probably due to the rarity of them. Same thing with the script door handles I would guess. Sport seats at least are functionally better than regular seats in addition to the rarity.
