I would do some testing with the Plenum idea for sure, and then theres boost to add

I was starting to think about a plenum made from a combination of machined aluminum for the ram tube extensions and the plenum base, but that used a PA12 glass-filled nylon 3D printed plenum body. This would allow for a really nice shape designed exactly how I want it without it costing a fortune to produce. Not sure how well that would hold up to boost though...with a removeable plenum body, an aluminum version could always be made to boosted applications.
