Default upgrade camshaft?

I am wondering what the benefits are of an upgraded camshaft on a 951? Is there a noticeable power increase?

My understanding is that cams just move the power band around...at least thats what it did on my Conquest..got a .299 cam and my quest now redlines at 7100...with a few other lil mods!

Cams are the very last upgrade you do. That's because they really only help high-HP cars and you need other mods to go with them. Cams should be custom-ground to match the particular configuration you have. Longer-duration cams need to be matched with increased compression. More or less valve-lift than stock need to be configured for the port shapes you've grinded, etc. etc. etc. Milledge claims his cams adds 20hp on a 350rwhp car. So less than that on an otherwise stock car.

Actually, I don't see that claim anywhere.

Certainly there are bigger bang for the buck items for a 951, but I don't think you need a wild engine to see noticeable gains.
